ABOUT
The Cape Chamber Music Collective is excited to present a candlelit concert performance of Oliver Messiaen's masterpiece Quatour pour la fin du temps (Quartet for the end of time), written while he was in German captivity at Görlitz, paired with a new counterpart work written just for this project by South African composer Grant McLachlan, the Quartet for the beginning of time. Completing the programme is the much-loved Intermezzo, op. 118 no. 2 Johannes Brahms, here masterfully arranged for this eclectic group of instruments by Grant McLachlan.
This concert is will take place in the chambers of the gallery at No. 6 Spin Street: a venue that combines generous acoustics with candlelit elegance. Ticket prices include a glass of wine, compliments of Painted Wolf Wines, as well as eats from the wonderful on-site kitchen.
Note: This page is for the later catered candlelight concert. For tickets to the 15:00 performance, which is not catered, please book here.
