ABOUT

Live @ 85 is a platform created with the purpose of enlivening the jazz scene in Pretoria. Having hosted and held different live jazz events around South Africa over the past 10 years, we’d like to re-create and maintain the same jazzy vibes, in our backyard this time around. 

We’re about working together with musicians to create the soundtrack to our lives in moments, join us.

PERFORMANCE LINE UP

Wowo Mndau: An amazing smooth jazz Pianist, born and bred in Mamelodi, Pretoria, Wowo Mndau has wowed audiences from the internationally 5-star acclaimed accommodation establishments, to our very own South African State Theatre. Join us for an experience of Wowo's latest release "Hills and Streams". 

Sumthin' Brown: On the 1's and 2's, we have the iconic DJ Sumthin' Brown bringing us effortless jazzy grooves. The baddest on the decks with a 10 hour show under her belt in the past recent months, Sumthin' Brown is the ebb to Hop, Jazz and Boogie's flow. 

DJ Afrika Chipembe: Known for a progressive soulful sound experience, Afrika creates a unique sonic experience for music and fashion daily.
