Peoples Choice #2 will showcase Porters!

The following Porter categories are eligible and will be judged per the BJCP guidelines for each style.

1. 13C English Porter
2. 20A American Porter
3. 9C Baltic Bitter

Sweet and caramelly, dark brown to black or a malty overtone with higher OG the options are endless! See less

People’s Choice Competitions 

1. The BJCP 2021 Style guide will be used to judge entries where a style is listed in the competition information.
2. All Entries to be submitted in an unlabeled, unmarked 440ml Brown Craft beer bottle with a silver cap (3 bottles required).
3. Recipes may be requested as part of the entry process or at the competition itself.

Competitions are open to all SouthYeasters members and non-members.  

Entry is free for all paid up SouthYeasters Members. 

There is a R30 entry fee for non-members and this can be paid via the Quicket link for the event. The entry fee may also be paid on the night in cash or via Snapscan.

1. Beers will be judged in accordance with BJCP guidelines with a score for each the following categories:
2. Aroma
3. Appearance
4. Flavour
5. Mouthfeel
6. Overall Drinkability
