Shakespeare Songs & Sonnets

Chris Vale (baritone) and Eugene Joubert (pianist) embark on a musical exploration of Shakespeare's poetry through the themes of love and death. 

Art songs by Gerald Finzi, Erich von Korngold and Franco Prinsloo elevate the already exalted bard to new heights of artistic expression. The music of all three these composers illustrate the joy of love, the tragedy of death, and the liminal spaces where these experiences intersect.
