More on the band:

===============

Jannie Hanepoot had been walking around with an acoustic brass band playing South African grooves in his head for years, but while getting sidetracked by life (and the Hanepoot Big Band) this was where it remained. In 2019 he decided bite the bullet, wrote some new arrangements and got 8 of his favorite musicians together to play them. The result was pretty awesome, and the Hanepoot Brass Band was born, a lively and colourful group of passionate musicians who get a thrill out of playing goema, mbaqanga and other funky grooves.
