Exactly 4 months later, Athi makes a return to the Selective Live stage. Athi is an independent multidisciplinary artist based in Cape Town. He is a singer, songwriter, spokenword artist and a self-taught guitarist with an experience in Live performance that has gradually cemented him across many acts that are emerging in Cape Town, South Africa.

His work as a guitarist was recently featured on the single Ntinga, by South African Idols sensation, Chosi, while his voice was lent to the 3-part single (A Piece of Your Time) for Durban-based emerging Hip Hop star, FeelThe6th. Athi is a published writer who was listed in the Franschoek Literary Festival in the year 2019, with his other work being published under Cover2Cover from the literary competitions that he's won over the years.

His work as a collaborator has seen him being featured on the 2022's Zabalaza Musical Festival at the Baxter Centre under Chosi's set.

Athi is returning to Selective Live with his friends after his emphatically praised debut live performance earlier on in 2022.

Join him on the 13th of May as he, with his incredible world class band, use his music to articulate his relation with the world as is. He'll be performing the reprise(s) of his collaborative work and his unreleased material as prelude to their official release.
