Alice - The Musical

Alice – The Musical­ is a new production written by Lize-Meri Amann and Deon van Zyl. Alice is a teenaged girl who feels invisible and insignificant. She has lost all faith in herself and is dissatisfied with life in general. Then one day she encounters a talking rabbit, that is always in a rush, and her adventure is set in motion.

In a flash she is transported to a magical place with talking flowers, rapping twins who believe that they are the world’s next Jack Parow, an overly dramatic Cheshire Cat (followed by a litter of kittens who dance and sing) and then, of course, the Queen of Hearts. Alice soon realises that this queen will steal your heart… and put it in a jar.

A mystical caterpillar sends Alice on a quest to discover courage, intelligence and heart. Soon she is joined by Lion, Scarecrow and Tinman (Yes, they are from a different story, but just go with it!) and this ragtag team travels across Wonderland to save not only Dorothy, but the whole of Wonderland.
