Keenan Ahrends "Perseverance: Live at the Bird's Eye Album Launch"

Keenan Ahrends is a South African jazz guitarist who has toured extensively both within South Africa and internationally. He has performed with prominent musicians such as Louis Moholo, Feya Faku, Carlo Mombelli, Thandi Ntuli, Andile Yenana, Afrika Mkhize, Herbie Tsoaeli, Somi, amongst others.

While on a Pro Helvetia artist residency in Switzerland, Ahrends composed the music for his sophomore album "Perseverance: Live at the Bird's Eye" . After a successful tour with his trio including Romy Brauteseth and Sphelelo Mazibuko, Ahrends invited two Swiss musicians to play the final two concerts at the Bird's Eye jazz club in Basel, Switzerland. The final concert was recorded, and now it's time to receive it on African soil.
