ABOUT

A Concert of Coming Together.

After two years of collective angst and uncertainty, singer-songwriter Zarcia Zacheus invites us to breathe in the hope of better moments to come, and exhale anything that is keeping us away from peace and ease. Zarcia largely uses music to self-soothe and calm her soul. By sharing her experiences of love and life so vulnerably, she invites us to do the same for ourselves. Her unique blend of gospel and jazz offers an invitation to both church and therapy, calling us to gather in the name of fellowship, vulnerability and healing.

It’s like that first dinner that you have after everyone has left the house of bereavement, you sit there and deal with the reality of what’s really happening.” Zarcia Zacheus

Usually written from a personal perspective, Zarcia's lyrics prove that our healing can be found in someone else's story and journey, showing that we are seldom alone on our path to emotional restoration and freedom.

With funding support from Concerts SA, The Norwegian Embassy, SAMRO & IKS Cultural Consuting. On the 8th of May 2022, we will gather at the Theatre on the Square for a collective hug after two years of not being able to embrace one another, fearlessly. Audiences can look forwards to hearing their favourite songs from Zarcia’s debut album, Therapy.
