After two years of waiting, our boys are ready to burst onto the stage to share the stories of this great country. ‘In Their Shoes’ is a celebration of the varied theatrical talents of our boys and is also an exploration of the incredible theatre tradition from which we, as South Africans, emerge. Involving more than 50 of our talented young men and with iconic scenes ranging from theatrical greats like ‘Master Harold… and the boys’, ‘Sarafina!’, ‘Woza Albert!’, ‘Sophiatown’, ‘The Island’, and many more, this production will take you on a journey through the many genres, styles and stories of the past seventy years.
This grand production promises to be a kaleidoscope of music, dance, acting, storytelling, tears and laughter as we finally return to the sacred space of theatre and allow ourselves, even if just for a moment, to stand in the shoes of those who have come before us and of those who walk beside us.
