ABOUT
On the 23rd of April 2022 the KZN Youth Wind Band in conjunction with Pietermaritzburg Girls' High School proudly Presents North Winds – an evening of musical excellence featuring the KZN Youth Wind Band and the PMBG Girls' High Concert Band.
Performing at PMBGHS for the first time in many years, the KZN Youth Wind Band (KZNYWB), alongside the PMB Girls' High Concert Band, will present music by Kraas, Reed, von Suppe, Adele, Disney and ABBA to name a few, as well as timeless South African Classics.
Having been in existence for over 45 years, the KZNYWB is made up of excellent young musicians from around the province, and has performed both nationally and internationally from Cape Town, to China to New York. The band continues to be a true reflection of the Rainbow Nation, truly representing all spectrums of the tapestry that makes up South African.
This promises to be an exciting collaboration of musical excellence.
