Become a mentor of a high school learner from alexandra township

Would you like to "mentor" a high school learner (Gr 9 to 11) from Alexandra township, who attends classes on Saturdays at St Mary's school, in Waverley (close to Melrose Arch)?

Join the 80 mentors of the Sizanani programme (www.sizanani.org.za). They organise outings about once a month with their mentees, help them to improve their self-confidence, open up to the outside world and later choose their higher education. It is not a financial sponsorship (even if some mentors pay for tutors) but rather a kind “coaching” relationship.  Sizanani also organise life orientation sessions, company visits, a career fair, a talent show and many other activities with the youngsters.
