ABOUT
Join us for Museum Saturday on 30 April 2022. Bring your friends and family for the day and make the museum your home!
Pniël Museum Skryfskool is a product of Pniël Museum’s endeavours to give people the opportunity to develop God-given talents that otherwise would have gone unfulfilled. The Skryfskool was started in 2018 through the generous support of the ATKV who made a few workshops under the leadership of Dr Diana Ferrus possible. In 2021 the group published their first collection of poems Voetspore – `n Pniëlse Digbundel.
Join us for a poetry reading by these inspiring women and guest poet Dr Diana Ferrus, who will share some of their recent work. Line-up includes: Shereen Allison Adams, Brigite Cyster, Dr Eleonor Damon, Gameeda Henry, Samantha Meyer, Florence Philips, Remola Williams, Urline Williams.
No bookings required. Enjoy a complementary glass of wine during the poetry reading in The Johannesburg Station Panels exhibition.
Part of the Rupert Museum outreach and educational programme the Pniël Museum Kunsskool has been an active partner since 2021. The initiative to expose the youth in the Pniël community to various art forms was started by the Pniël Museum three years ago. Since then, art classes have been presented on a monthly basis by Carina du Randt and this is combined with group visits and workshops at the Rupert Museum.
Please note that the majority of the performance will be in Afrikaans.
