Louis in his own words:
“My new double guitar album which I plan to showcase some of the music is a journey from rock, jazz, funk, acoustic folk music and African traditional music with different rhythms from chosen few African countries. In Mid 80's I travelled to Nigeria where I met with King Sunny Ade and he invited me to work with various traditional percussion women players who were amazing. That experience is also influenced my music and also had the opportunity to visit Fela Kuti's shrine.
During Covid, I used my time to record music and milking from my experiences of my travels. On the album, I collaborate with one of the greatest accordion players (Regis Gizavo the late) and Andy Narell on steel pans. He also introduced me to other Cuban percussion players who play on my album. I also pulled in some violin and cello players on two of my solo acoustic songs to give it the classical feel. The album title is, LIVING FOR THE LIVING.”
