19 y/o SA Missionary goes to India

Hi, my name is Kyra Janse van Rensburg and I am from Western Cape, Stellenbosch.

I am raising money for myself, to go on missionary work in India this year.

A little more about me:

I have just turned 19 - finished matric in 2021. I have been living within Stellenbosch for the past 12 years. I am not studying at the moment, but I do give drama classes and Eisteddfod training to kids and I am the co-director for a primary school play, while also managing a lot of side-hustles. I also manage a business, called Ocearine, which I want to register as a non-profit organization before middle 2023.

The Purpose:

Within all of these jobs, goals and plans that I have set for myself, my number one priority is building up my relationship with God and spreading the Gospel and love of Jesus, because I truly love Him with all of my heart.

Matthew 28:19-20

19 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

I have prayed and decided this year that I want to reach out to people all around the world and show them and tell them about my Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ.

There is an opportunity at hand to go to India with a few members of my church and do missionary work.

The church where I am planted, Shofar, organizes "Let'sGo Missions" each year. This year Shofar is organizing missions to Namibia, Zimbabwe, Malawi, North India, Israel etc. that will take place around June/July.

Every individual, who wants to go on a mission, has to pay for his/her own flights, food and other costs. I would absolutely love to partake in the mission in India.

To assure that I have enough money for flights to and from India, food, emergency money and other basic costs, I have calculated that R29'000 would cover it. If there's extra money left over, then I will use it to sponsor another missionary.
