Subversion_8 is at the Blacksmith's Forge!

The Forge was our venue for Subversion_5, our sold-out Kinky Valentine's Ball in 2020, and again for our sold-out Subversion_7 event in Nov 2021. We simply love this venue and our guests love it too! It's CT's top working Blacksmithing Forge. It's sexy, gritty and has fantastic acoustics for a good party.

Tickets will be limited to 120 pax and will sell out fast. The last 4 Subversion events have been sold out.

Subversion_8 will feature a rocking dance floor with two very experienced Cape Town DJs. This event will have an emphasis on great tunes, a sexy dancefloor and sexy play!

Entertainment:

• Sexy dancefloor with top-notch sound system, smoke machine, lasers & LED lighting
• DJ Dark Fader will be coaxing our aural pleasure with an indie/goth/electronica set
• DJ Reno will crank up the heat with some deep-level house & minimal techno
• Bondage & Shibari displays by Sir_KnotsALot, Sir Predicament and suzyctq
• Further entertainment will be announced on the night
• Play equipment from Unit_13
• Hand-crafted BDSM toys and bits for sale from The Play Box (Zapper & Snapscan accepted)
• If it's cold, we will have "mushroom" gas heaters to warm up the space

Please note:

• A cloakroom will be available is at R10 per item - it closes at 12.45 AM sharp. Please collect your stuff before then
• We start at 6.30 PM and end at 1 AM. Ubers can be tricky in Maitland at that time so order ahead of the cut-off time!
• Subversion has a strict dress code. Kink and fetish outfits only. Please don't test us at the door if you decide not to make an effort. You won't get in.
• No refunds if you do not adhere to the dress code and can't get through the door
• The minimum dress code is all black. No civvies, jeans, t-shirts or branded clothing are allowed

• This is a kink party. Not a Sunday picnic...
• We will be taking temps on entry. Please stay at home if you are feeling unwell
• Subversion is LGBTQ+ friendly
• The event is BYOB - Subversion will provide ice and glasses and seating, security etc.
• Please bring your own cooler boxes and snacks if you need them
• We have a security guard to keep an eye on parking and your cars
• R.O.A.R - we will not allow any visibly intoxicated people into the venue and if you're visibly intoxicated you could be asked to leave the party without a refund
• No ticket refunds
• Please follow our security guard's instructions on where to park
