Dawn is Wazi M Kunene’s highly anticipated debut stand up comedy special, first seen at the Joburg Theatre, The Bioscope, Dunkelder Theatre to name a few.

Since the inception of her stand up career in 2018, Wazi has winged herself over a sea of boxed stan- dards and gendered expectations, steadily maintain- ing her position as a crowd favourite at shows around the country. With her surprising, breathtak- ing gags, Wazi masterfully challenges societal norms and our thinking.

In Dawn, Wazi will, as expected, unashamedly and hilariously reveal more layers to our shared human conditions. Rent, aka depression and the withering state of relationships.
