The Solera Paint Bar offers events that are a fun and unique way to uncork your creativity and socialize with your friends. Enjoy your favourite glass of wine while re-creating a featured painting of the night. An experienced local artist leads you step by step through the process of unleashing your inner Van Gogh. The artist will guide you step by step in replicating the nights featured painting. By the end of the evening you will create a fabulous piece of artwork!The Solera Paint Bar venue is an actual bar location and you must be 18 years to enter. Included in the ticket price is a welcome drink, canvas, brushes and paint. Plus we clean up afterwards. Bring your apron or purchase a specially designed one from us. Join us for an unforgettable time of painting, sipping and socializing! We suggest arriving 30 minutes early to get the seat of your choice. Events are 2 - 2 ½ hours long.

How it works
What is a typical class like?
A whole lot of FUN! After two hours of painting & sipping, singing & laughing, you will have a completed masterpiece to take home with you and best of all - we clean up!
A range of nibbles can be order from any of the waiting staff. We also have a selection of alcoholic, non-alcoholic, soda and juice options for purchase.
How much is a Class?
Class? We don't have classes; we have PARTIES! Each party is between R280 – R350 depending on the event. You can view event costs by visiting our website under the “Events Page”. Seating fee includes everything you need to create a one-of-a-kind painting in a 2 – 2.5hr. period. You just have to bring an apron. We also sell specifically designed aprons online and at the event.
How do I pay for a class?
Payment online is required to guarantee your reservation at least 24 hours in advance. We are currently utilizing Quicket for our ticket sales. Just click on “Events” at the top of our website. From there, click on the event you wish to attend and then click the “Join this event” button where you will be directed to the checkout process.
What should I bring?
Please bring a drivers license or ID book for identification purposes plus your Quicket ticket. And don’t forget a credit card, debit card or cash to grab a beverage or three while you paint. Solera has a full menu where you can purchase meals, snacks and drinks and no “Bring your own” is allowed. Bring or buy an apron and well cover the rest..
What Should I Wear?
Solera Paint Bar is a great place for a night out! Although we do not allow painting without an apron, please dress accordingly. Let’s face it..SPLATTER happens!
When should I arrive on the day of my class?
Arrive 20-30 min early to get ready to paint! If you desire more time to unwind, visit with friends & breathe before we start our liquid therapy, we invite you to arrive up to an hour prior to start time- if you make it by 17:00 you get to catch our cocktail happy hour – Buy one get one free!
What is included in the fee?
The fee covers your instruction and use of all art supplies for one person. This includes your canvas, paint, brushes. We include a welcome drink per person. Wine, beer, soft drinks, water and meals are available for purchase.
Can I bring in my own wine or beer?
Unfortunately, we cannot permit carry-ins. We do a great selection of wine and beer.

Unfortunately, we cannot permit carry-ins. We do a great selection of meals and snacks.
Do I have to bring someone to the date night sessions?
No. All our date night paintings are designed so that you can only paint one canvas. Just buy a single ticket upon checkout instead of two tickets.
How do I get a refund?
We require 48 hour notice of cancellation, so that we may offer your spot to another customer. Store credit will be given for individuals cancelling with at least 48 hours notice. Parties of 10 or more must cancel 7 days before the date of the class via email. No shows will not receive a refund or store credit.
What about private parties?
A paint and sip party is perfect for any occasion. We would be glad to host your next party, corporate gathering, and private event such as a birthday or a stork party. Private events can also accommodate extras such as provided appetizers or specific alcohol. Message us on our contact us page for more details.

No way, you can paint whatever you like, but our artist will be taking the group step by step through the featured painting of the night. You can change the colours, shapes, etc. of the painting to match your home decor or just follow along with the artist, whichever you prefer!
