Dancing for Rhinos is a Non-Profit Company that focuses on awareness and education, protection, orphan and survivor care, and research for rhinoceros and all our wildlife. Our journey began in 2012 when a poaching attack on three rhinos in the Eastern Cape changed our lives forever.
This year we will be celebrating ten years of Dancing for Rhinos, and our Anniversary Gala Event will be hosted in honour of Thandi, the rhinoceros that survived her poaching attack and became the driving force behind our organisation.
The Gala Event is a dinner and musical dance performance with special guest speakers; entitled: "Thandi - Her Story of Love'. All the funds raised will aid in rhino conservation efforts.
Although the in person tickets are now sold out, you and your family can still be part of the experience via online streaming.

Dancing for Rhinos is a non-profit company based in South Africa. We focus on protection, orphan care, support for survivors of poaching, conservation education, awareness, and research for rhinoceros as well as other endangered wildlife.
We host an annual gala dinner and musical dance performance to spread awareness about the plight of Earth's rhinos and to raise funds in aid of conservation efforts. 2022 marks our 10 year anniversary and the Gala Dinner will be hosted as a Live Event at the Deutsche Internationale Schule Pretoria (R500 pp) as well as a Live Stream Event (R100) on the 14th of May 2022 at 18:00 (Start of the Show) via the online platform “Zoom”. We will open the Zoom link as from 17h15.
Participation for the Dancing for Rhinos Live Stream Event is open to everyone, and necessary registration and purchase of the ticket is conducted on the Quicket. The registration and purchase of a ticket for minors, persons with limited legal capacity and persons without legal capacity is excluded and may only be conducted by the attendance of the legal guardian.
The participant bears the duty to have the necessary technical equipment and internet access to participate. It is determined that each ticket will receive an invite link to enter the Live Stream Event. This link may not be shared with third parties. The link can be accessed twice (1x for testing purposes and 1x for the actual event); thereafter the link will not be valid. For participation of the event the participant grants the Quicket platform the right to hand over the personal data to the organizer. This includes the name and surname, email address and telephone number of the participant.
The organizer is recording the Live and Online Stream Event and broadcasts this live on the social networks, including on Facebook, without restrictions on the territory, time limit and manner of use on a gratuitous basis. During the Live Stream, possible video material from the online participants may occur and may be used for marketing purposes.
For participation of the event the organizer uses the platform “Zoom”. The participant is not obliged to register a Zoom account but can participate by means of clicking the link and using the applicable password. In case of a cancellation of the event due to Covid 19 reasons, the organizer will extend the validity of the purchased ticket until the Live Stream Event will be concluded.By participating in the Live Stream Event, each participant confirms that he or she has taken note of these mentioned conditions of participation, agrees to the conditions of participation and will comply with them. The participant's provided data will be processed for the duration of the event. Further information on how the personal data provided will be processed can be found in the Privacy Policy.

Data protection information for the Live Stream Event according to Art. 13 DSGVO

2.2 Purpose of the processing of personal dataYour personal data will be processed for the purpose of handling the participation for the Live Event as well as the Live Stream Event.
2.3 Legal basis for the processingThe legal basis for the processing is the fulfillment of the contractual relationship existing as a result of participation for the Live Event and the Live Stream Event (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 b) DSGVO) as well as your consent given through participation for the Live Event and the Live Stream Event pursuant to Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 a) DSGVO.
2.4 Possibility of objectionYou can object to the processing of your data at any time. To do so, send an email to [email protected] or one of the contact addresses given above. However, we would like to point out that in the event of an objection to the processing of data for the participation for the Live Stream Event is excluded.
2.5 Data deletion and storage periodThe data processed for the Live Stream Event will be deleted no later than 4 weeks after the end or expiry of the Live Event and the Live Stream Event. We may store data of participants until the end of the statutory retention periods until their expiry (Art. 6 para. 1 sentence 1 c) DSGVO). If a participant has consented to data storage for other services conducted via the website, the further processing of the data and information covered by this consent will continue and thus also after the end of the Live Event and Live Stream Event in accordance with the statutory provisions.
