ABOUT
Love our Trails is heading north to explore the hidden gems of the Cederberg. Join us on daily guided hikes to find ancient rock art, an arch and some breathtaking trails. We will be making olive oil and enjoying the beauty of the area with waterfalls, sunsets and star-gazing.
DAY 1
Arrive at Alpha Excelsior farm and meet our fellow hikers. We will be guided through a process of harvesting and making our own unfiltered olive oil to take home. Then for a short hike to a beautiful waterfall for sundowners before dinner.
DAY 2
After a sunrise coffee we head out on a 14km guided hike through Kliphuis Nature Reserve; home to a pair of Black Eagles, a historic plane crash, breathtaking views and an abundance of flora.
Followed by a relaxing lunch, wine and swim at the Alpha Excelsior dam. We end the day with a hearty potjie under the open Cederberg skies.
DAY 3
Wake up, coffee, hike. We will be guided on a 2-3 hour hike, finding some of the most pristine and detailed rock art dating back thousands of years. Enjoy the rest of the morning relaxing, swimming or wine tasting before heading home.
