Disa Pool in the Groot Winterhoek

Join us on an easy hike to see Disa uniflora (Red Disa) blooming along the beautiful streams in the Groot Winterhoek!

We do a fairly short hike across the suurvlaktes in the Groot Winterhoek Wilderness Area aiming for Disa Pool on the Groot Kliphuis River. Here we'll swim, relax and search for Red Disas flowering on the riverbanks!

It's a lovely hike for families and beginners, getting to explore a magnificent mountain range near Porterville.

Grade: A-grade (more adventurous if exploring the rivers)
