MAYBE YOU ARE AFRAID THAT
- This is another woo-woo course that will not render any tangible results
- Or that you will be pushed to be more confident and advocate for yourself even though that scares the hell out of you and can’t bring yourself to do that
- Or that this is another meditation course that will get you hyped up for a few days and that’s it?
- Or you just believe that this coaching thing is a big scam, every second person is a Coach these days and that’s another scam?
Let me introduce myself.
My name is Busisiwe Hlatswayo, I am a Career Coach, an Award Winning DEI Leader, an International Speaker, a Governance Risk, and Compliance Specialist and an Entrepreneurship and Innovation Educator. I hold a Transformational and NLP Coaching Certificate, an MBA Degree (Henley Business School (SA) and University of Reading (UK) (The focus of my dissertation was on factors that influence the retention of scarce skilled employees), An Advanced Diploma in Risk Management (UNISA) and a BCom Accounting Sciences from the University of Pretoria. I have been in this Coaching business for almost a decade . My superpower is the ability to move people from where they are to a boss version of themselves through coaching, inspirational speaking and training.
I was raised in a township in Pretoria, South Africa. I was born in a house where about 15 people, 4 generations were packed in a 4 room house and a couple of shacks at the back. Later grew up in what is now called an informal settlement, (the ghetto is probably the more appropriate term) in a two-roomed shack with my mother, stepfather, and two sisters.
A true product of my environment, I was pregnant at 15. I couldn't believe it. Girls who get pregnant at 15 end up barefoot in a shack with 3 kids. I pushed through, got to varsity, and failed at becoming a Chartered Accountant (CPA). I did not have the pedigree that would allow me success in the workplace. I had to pick up a trail of clues that success leaves for those who seek them. Coaches have been a catalyst for every career accomplishment that I have made.
I remember being miserable in one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms, feeling like I don’t belong like everyone knew how to be in this environment but myself. I had always been top of the class but in this environment, I felt dumb and deeply ashamed. I set an intention to double my income in 90 days by learning career strategies and getting a coach. Within 3 months I was in a new job, earning double that, within a year I was promoted to an even position and have had promotion every 3 years of my career. I have helped a number of women like myself do the same.
Today I am an MBA Graduate, a businesswoman, a Career Coach, I head a school of at a private university and supervise MBAs in one of the top Universities in South Africa.
I started Black women in the workplace for Black Township or rural girls like me, who have had to find their way to the top because there was no one to help them up. My vision is to see the representation of black women in top leadership positions reflect the demographics of qualified black women in the workplace. I want to partner with you to get you to the next level of your career.
What you will learn in the 5 DAY LEAVE YOUR SOUL CRUSHING JOB CHALLENGE.
I believe that Career Strategies and tactics like; how to negotiate for a raise or handle a job interview are important to help you level up your career. However, I believe that the real key is in who you become not so much what you do. You have to become the person that can take the actions that are required to get that next level p. The great thing about this is that you already are this person. You just need to reveal your true powerful self that is hidden under a myriad of limiting beliefs because of your life experiences and conditioning. During each of the 5 Days we will tackle a topic that will challenge the view that you have of yourself and provide you tools to work on changing that view. When we change, things change. This Challenge is aimed at helping you reclaim your powerful self so that with clarity and confidence, go for the position that you really want.

A FEW TESTIMONIES FROM BLACK WOMEN I HAVE WORKED WITH
I was frustrated in my workplace and felt that women, in general, tend to be overlooked, undervalued, overworked etc.
I was convinced that I was perhaps not in the right place, or rather that I was not the right fit for the organization.
I was ready to throw in the towel and when I came across the Black women in the workplace program.
The program has enabled me to see myself for who I was.
I've managed to determine where I am, where I want to go and the work I would need to put in to get there.
I've learned that our cultures, backgrounds, beliefs, and level of self-esteem also determine how easily or not so much a person manages to navigate through the corporate world as a black woman.
I am able to manage conflicts with ease without getting emotional or feeling like a victim.
This has been a journey of rediscovery and unearthing the hidden potential that I never knew I possessed.
I highly recommend the Black women in the workplace program, for black women that feel stuck, and are frustrated in their positions.
This was one of the greatest investments I've made on myself.
The program will change your life.

‘I really appreciate the way you listened actively and asked questions that helped me draw my own conclusions and uncover things about myself. I felt safe and understood talking to you. You spoke very gently and you were so reassuring, but you were also firm in helping me see where I could be at fault in my interactions with others. I really appreciate that you identify that problems at work are much deeper than the surface level of performance and skills, and you targeted the issues at the core of who I am. I learned so much from this session, and the lessons I took from it are priceless. I will be able to let go of my burdens and run and do amazing things in my career because of your guidance.’

“You helped me to see aspects of the way I operate I have never seen before. Thank you for the celebration – It feels good to celebrate achievement and to bask in that a little bit. I feel like a weight has been lifted off my shoulder – telling myself I am proud of my younger self and telling it is actually okay to be a child – the world does not break when you enjoy yourself. I have a lot to think about – just from this session with you. Thank you for the heart and eye opener”

Wow thank you, I definitely believe it’s not a skills issue or a competence issue but rather the need for coaching… It’s just unfortunate that ladies figure it out once it's too late
