Immerse yourself in the ancient art of flower crown creation. 

Led by flower enthusiast Kath Kelly, guests will receive snacks; and fragrant fynbos-chai tea/botanical cocktails on arrival to sip on whilst listening to an informative talk about the culinary and medicinal properties of various edible flowers, as well as their uses in folklore. We'll look at the history of the flower crown and after demonstrations on various techniques, each guest will create his/her own beautiful creation to wear and take home. 

Kath is a teacher, artist, gardener and lover of all things flowers. After working with a florist for a year, her passion for knowledge, both practical and learnt, was ignited. 'There is so much to learn, just focussing on one plant could occupy my mind and imagination for an entire season!' she says. Each season brings its own wonders and she does her best to preserve them through oil infusions, sugars, salts, soaps and artworks.

What to bring: A bunch or two of flowers to add to your creation (these should be on the smaller/dainty side as a large sunflower is often too heavy to hold in place). Your camera, for gorgeous photos in the spring flower garden! A sense of adventure and whimsy.
