|| Creatures of the Light ||

Expressive Movement Cape Town invites you to "Creatures of the Light", our final #ThursdayExpressions class of 2021. This class will not be online - instead we will be gathering to dance in person! There will be simultaneous #ThursdayExpressions classes taking place in Joburg and Cape Town.

For those in Cape Town, we will gather at Windmill beach in Simonstown. We will come together at the water’s edge to close the year with the setting sun. We don’t want to disturb the penguins or any other marine life, so we will be dancing with headsets, silent disco style.

You are invited to bring your light to this special gathering. We are so looking forward to seeing you there!

Date: Thursday 2nd December

Time: 6:00 – 7:30 pm (please arrive at least 15 minutes before to get your headset and settle in).

Cost: Adults: R150 | Children: R50 (if they want their own headset) or they are welcome to join for free if they don't need a headset!

Bookings to be made in advance to confirm the number of headsets, so please make sure you purchase your ticket in time. Tickets are limited.

Both gatherings are also raising funds for groups that build a sense of community. The Joburg fundraiser will be raising funds for the Brixton Light Festival. The Cape Town fundraiser will be raising money for Cape Town Freestylers, a youth-led dance movement based in Cape Town.R50 of every ticket sold will go to Cape Town Freestylers.

COVID care: The event will be outdoors. All headsets will be sanitized, and there will be sanitizer available upon arrival. Please take precautionary measures with regard to COVID.
