Temo Foundation Gender Equality Roundtable

Although South Africa is lauded for having some of the most progressive laws and policies intended to advance women’s rights and gender equality, unfortunately a number of challenges still hinder the attainment of gender equality in the country i.e. Workplace gender inequality; GBV and Women economic inequality.

It is for the above stated reason that TEMO Foundation initiated the GE RoundTable event, a convergence platform that brings together role-player’s (male and female) from various sectors for the purpose of reflecting and discussing issues, challenges affecting realization of gender equality at local level and identifying ways to resolve them. The event program will feature (1) Speaker address from key institutions, (2) Panel and (3) Roundtable sessions.

The event program is focused at (1) Workplace gender equality (2) GBV and (3) Women economic empowerment (4) Disability.
