ABOUT

Cape Town based, Indie Rock Band, Almost Alive is a group of brilliant performers. Led by their bassist and vocalist, Henko Uys ( Barry) they achieved local success by winning multiple band competitions, showing a high level of professionalism, performance skills and musicianship that comes through in their thrilling live performances.

The band consist out of a variety of players, all with different influences. A jazz drummer (Timothy Fortes), Funk and Punk guitarists (Matthew Marias and Hanju Potgieter) a Boogie-woogie keyboardist (Hugo Potgieter) and a indie rock bassist (Henko Uys “Barry”). Their unique music style is a fashion of rock, funk and jazz creating a style they labelled “skinny jean rock.” The band recorded a Demo EP and is currently in Studio recoding their debut LP.

Aflos is a Stellenbosch based band who place their roots in indie and rock music. Aflos is known for having a great stage presence and for always bringing a crowd. Comprised of 5 members, all have experience in studying music. Aflos is plain and simply, "a vibe".
