Join us on Sun 31 Oct for a special haunted Halloween Sunday Picnic!

We've done these events twice now - once with Cindy Alter and then again with Nibs van der Spuy - and both have been such amazing days out! For Halloween, we welcome a band with already-legendary status in SA - not only for their wacky onstage antics but all round fun in both their music, lyric content and amazing personalities. Once (or many times?) described as:

"The band too dangerous for Aandklas!"

"The 3rd-best folk punk band in Randburg!"

"Professional amateurs!"

We welcome acoustic folk punk band SATANIC DAGGA ORGY to the stage. The perfect band name for Halloween, and the perfect musical accompaniment to a fun outdoor picnic with live music, good people and awesome tunes.

Plus the support act for the day - JOLLING - singer/songwriter/ukulele player Jolene East (The Mitten Fits, The Honeymooners). She writes and sings original acoustic Folk music.

PLUS... guess what? Monday 1 Nov is a PUBLIC HOLIDAY so our resident DJs will keep you partying til late!

Join us on SUNDAY 31 OCTOBER from 11am. Music starts at 12 noon.

HOW DOES IT WORK?

* OPTION 1 *

Book a 2x2m Picnic spot for you and up to 3 friends - for just R200! You are welcome to bring your own snacks, booze, picnic baskets, whatever. Just purchase your spot online and check in at the bar and they will show you to your cordoned off picnic spot! This R200 ticket gets you access for up to 4 people.

* OPTION 2 *

Purchase a "Barfly Ticket" for just R50! This ticket is General access to the event, but does not include a picnic spot. If you would like to purchase a picnic spot, you can speak to the bar on the day and order one for an extra cost.

* OPTION 3 *

Purchase a Limited Edition "Melkery Mandjie" - a picnic basket of your own filled with TONS of goodies including a PRIME 2x2m Picnic Spot, Sanitizer, Booze & Snacks for 4 People PLUS the hire of a special edition Melkery Picnic Blanket. All this for only R650! There are only 10 of these Melkery Mandjies available so book them online now before they run out. This ticket also gets you access for up to 4 people.

* OPTION 4 *

Buy a FULL DISCOUNTED WEEKEND TICKET which includes a ticket to our Saturday Halloween Party - with a full lineup of more bands including Steve Umculo, Naming James, Crystal Park and many more! This ticket is R300 and includes the Picnic spot as described in Option 1 above. This ticket gets you access for 1 person on the Saturday and 4 people on the Sunday!

FREE CAMPING

All tickets include FREE CAMPING. We have loads of camping space. There are toilets inside and outside the venue, as well as showers.

You can bring your COOLER BOX with your own dops and chow.

Braai facilities available so bring your meat, charcoal and blitz and braai away!

FOOD ON SALE

We will also have food on sale on the night so bring extra bucks.

GUESTROOMS AVAILABLE

Tweefontein Melkery has rooms to sleep up to a total of 23 people. Each room comes equipped with electricity, basic bedding and a kettle. These rooms are available to book by emailing [email protected] and come at a price of R200pp. Payment is required via EFT upfront. The room breakup is as follows:

ROOM 1 - 1 x Dbl Bed, 2 x Single (total cost R800)

ROOM 2 - 1 x Dbl Bed, 2 x Single (total cost R800)

ROOM 3 - 1 x Dbl Bed, 1 x Single (total cost R600)

ROOM 4 - 1 x Dbl Bed, 1 x Single (total cost R600)

ROOM 5 (comes with ensuite toilet) - 1 x Dbl Bed, 2 x Single (total cost R800)

ROOM 6 (The Wooden Hut) - 1 x Dbl Bed (total cost R400)

ROOM 7 (The "Backstage Bunker" Room) - 1 x Dbl Bed (total cost R400)

ROOM 8 (The Han Solo Backstage Room) - 1 x Single (total cost R200)

Kids under 18 welcome and are FREE but must be accompanied by a parent/guardian. 

All Covid-19 restrictions apply. 

Our staff at Tweefontein are fully vaccinated

Tweefontein Melkery is situated on a farm between Kempton and Bapsfontein. As such, it is very large, wide open and we are planning to host the event outdoors, meaning social distancing is very easy. We also have all sanitization regulations in place. If you feel symptoms, or have contact with Covid-19 beforehand, please do not attend the event.

In the event that government restrictions do not allow us to have this event, we will postpone it to a new date where your ticket/accommodation bookings will still be valid.
