Nicholas Lighton Preen, known by his imaginative stage name: 'Nic Preen' was born december 1992, nick-named the 'Cape Town Prince Of Indie-Pop' by national radio stations across the country as well as 'Big Ears' and 'Snotty-Nose-Freak' by his peers in primary school, Preen has made an almost relevant name for himself in the South African music scene, somehow finding himself at the fore-front of the new 'Chill Bop' genre currently sweeping the suburbs.
Be it on the shoulders of his talented band mates in bands such as Al Bairre, The World Of Birds he has headlined some of the biggest festivals in the country and beyond, having skyped with Timbaland at Midem Festival in Cannes to assuring his medical aid bills are covered in streaming revenue - this anti-hero has sold out every performance to date at Cafe Roux and returns now with his latest single: 'Are You There For Anyone?' his fourth biggest release yet and soon to be a Major Emotion Picture!
