WHAT'S ABOUT EVENT / whats going on there come and learn
We are excited to be hosting our 2nd User Experience Conference in Joburg. UXJhb16 will be our biggest UX conference on the African continent with a 1 workshop day and 2 conference days. We looking forward to another sold out event, so please book early. Our UX speakers will be split between local and international superheroes.

Code of Conduct
UX South Africa is dedicated to providing a harassment-free conference experience for everyone , regardless of gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age or religion. We do not tolerate harassment of conference participants in any form. Sexual language and imagery is not appropriate for any conference venue, including talks. Conference participants violating these rules may be sanctioned or expelled from the conference [without a refund] at the discretion of the conference organizers.
Harassment includes verbal comments that reinforce social structures of domination [related to gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, age, religion]; sexual images in public spaces; deliberate intimidation; stalking; following; harassing photography or recording; sustained disruption of talks or other events; inappropriate physical contact; and unwelcome sexual attention. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.
If a participant engages in harassing behavior, the conference organizers may take any action they deem appropriate, including warning the offender or expulsion from the conference [with no refund]. If you are being harassed, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact a member of conference staff immediately. [Conference staff can be identified by t-shirts/special badges/head sets.]
Conference staff will be happy to help participants contact venue security or local law enforcement or otherwise assist those experiencing harassment to feel safe for the duration of the conference. CHANGES TO PROGRAMME
Whilst the programme is correct at the time of going to press, UX South Africa reserves the right to make changes to the programme, location and/or speakers without prior notice. Such alterations may occasionally be necessary due to circumstances beyond our control. Where circumstances force cancellation of the conference in its entirety, UX South Africa will make every effort to inform delegates as soon as reasonably possible. UX South Africa is not liable for any consequential loss suffered by the delegate.

Views expressed by speakers are their own. UX South Africa disclaims any liability for advice given, or views expressed, by any speaker at the event or in any documentation provided to delegates.
FILMING & PHOTOGRAPHY
Please note that for promotional purposes, there may be a professional photographer and video production taking place during the event. If you object to being included in any photography/film produced please let the event organisers know as soon as possible on arrival. We have your permission to use any photography, speeches, quotes, feedback and/or video for our marketing and future events.

REFUND & TRANSFER POLICY
All ticket refunds and/or name change transfers are at the sole discretion of the organisers and will be considered on an individual basis. No refunds 30 days before conference.
