This short-course consists of a 3 hour practical session,workbook and training notes, writing equipment and certificate. All participants receive a workbook and notes on spiders and scorpions that are aligned to the Unit Standards as required by FGASA for the Apprentice Field Guide Qualification.


This course covers the following in relation to spiders and scorpions:

  • Anatomy.
  • Identification.
  • Life history.
  • Behaviour.

  • Venom.
  • Conservation.


Suitable for over 13 years of age, and limited to 20 participants. The course cost includes the following:
