Thu Dec 16, 09:00 - Thu Dec 16, 14:00
Pretoria Botanical gardens

You are invited to our special edition "painting in the park" workshop!

Discover your own personal power symbol!

This special edition workshop will be our way to celebrate resilience and personal growth through 2021 and beyond!

You are invited to join us for this unique and personal creative expression at the canvas.

What is your personal power symbol? What motivates you and keeps you going in spite of daily challenges?

For me it was the arrow! It reminds me to stay focused on my goals and that with the correct attitude and clarity of direction, I am UNSTOPPABLE! I can’t tell you how many times this year this symbol helped me carry on when I thought that I could not carry on anymore!

Allow the paintbrush to be your guide through your own transformation at the canvas of your soul!

Hi! My name is Gideon Busquét-Craucamp Aka "Gideonslight" and my co-host is Arnaud Busquèt-Craucamp AKA "OtterlyArnaud". We are both Creatively Fit and Transformational Coaches, and we are excited to assist you to "Activate your Creative HeART" and become resilient again through playful expression at the canvas!

This special edition Painting in the park workshop will happen on 16 December (a public holiday) starting at 09h00 and will happen in the Botanical gardens of Pretoria. Tickets include all workshop materials but it does not include your entrance at the park or any meals or refreshments. (See ticket page for more details)

How to discover your power symbol for the workshop:

Add your date of birth until you get to a single digit:

Eg. I was born 1971/10/13 add it up like this: 1+9+7+1+1+0+1+3=23

2+3=5 so 5 is my number and my symbol will be the Pempamsie! Here is a list of power symbols we are going to work with:

1. Arrow ~ An arrow symbolizes reaching your goals and achieving your targets. Protection – An arrow has traditionally been used to protect a person from potential harm. Arrows have come to represent protection and defence from any evil that can come to you.

2. Sun ~ Sun is the life-giving energy that's necessary for us to survive. ... As such, sun symbolism represents life, energy, positivity, clarity, confidence, and more. It's an ever-present symbol that always formed a large part of people's lives. Even in the centuries past, people from all over the world appreciated this symbol.

3. Lightning bolt ~ A lightning bolt is an instantly recognizable symbol of power. General lightning bolt shapes, whether they have two or three jags, have multiple meanings including supernatural power and the beauty and power of nature.

4. Tobono ~ Tabono symbol

Tabono means “oar” or “paddle” in the Adinkra language of Western Africa. It is a symbol of unity of purpose, strength, confidence and hard work to reach a destination or goal.

5. Pempamsie ~ Pempamsie Symbol – The English translation of this Adinkra symbol is "sew in readiness” Pempamsie shows the links like that of a chain and represents readiness, steadfastness, and hardiness. It also shows that there is strength in unity.

6. Hamsa ~ The Hamsa (Arabic: Khamsah) is a palm-shaped symbol popular throughout the Middle-East representing blessings, protection, femininity, power, and strength. It is predominately used to ward off evil and bad luck in general.

7. Star ~ Stars are a large part of our history and current culture. They have become a sacred and spiritual symbol for many religions all over the world. ... Stars have been symbolic of divine guidance and protection. The star of Bethlehem representing the guidance of god whilst the star of David is a powerful protection symbol.

8. Alim ~ The Ailm symbol is the 20th letter of the ancient Celtic alphabet, Ogham. The cross symbolises a pine tree, which is associated with longevity, strength and endurance. The outer circle symbolises a balanced and complete soul.

9. Oak tree ~ Across many ancient European cultures, the mighty oak was considered a sacred tree and strongly associated with strength, wisdom, and endurance.

*Creative coaching is a form of life coaching that helps people develop their creative skills and work through any barriers holding them back in their life.

The canvas serves as the metaphor that helps you to identify limiting beliefs and or attitudes that is counter productive to achieving your highest goals and ideals.

Although painting is involved, no previous art experience or skills are required to participate in a class, or to benefit from the insight that can be gained through this experiential personal growth journey.
