More on each artist:
================
Robin Auld is one of South Africa's top musicians. A plethora of self-penned hits in the 80's, a career in London for over a decade and the experience of thousands of gigs have honed Robin into one of the finest singer/songwriter/guitarists South Africa has produced.
He is joined by South African Blues royalty in Rob Nagel, the Big Bass Man from the legendary Blues Broers. He first heard the blues on a Chess Records compilation, including Muddy Waters, Sonny Boy Williamson and Little Walter. He stopped picking cotton, and immersed himself in the intricacies of the blues harmonica. Touring Europe, and America, he amassed a huge blues record collection and frequented countless sleazy blues clubs. He has been playing bass and harmonica for almost 3 decades with anyone who shares the passion.
Rounding out the trio is SA's own American import, Michael Canfield.
Michael has played with some of the biggest names in rock and roll, from Chuck Berry and Bo Diddley through to Paul Simon, Billy Idol and Bob Dylan, in a career spanning more than five decades. He’s done the Grammy’s, the Oscars and busked in the streets of New York City. In South Africa he’s worked with everyone from Johnny Clegg to Boeremusiek legends Radio Kalahari Orkes, to The Black Cat Bones.
