ABOUT LEONARD HEYDENRYCH

Dr Leonard Heydenrych is a flautist and the conductor of the Heydeburg Chamber Orchestra. He is passionate about music, having studied at the royal college of music in London before doing his fellowship as a corneal specialist at Moorfields Hospital, London.

He conducts and performs with The Heydeburg Chamber orchestra, which affords talented young musicians the opportunity to perform and collaborate within a nurturing and fun environment. Leonard believes music brings humanity together.

We are very grateful to Leonard for both his expertise as our medical advisor and for his commitment to educating and helping young musicians in the Western Cape, especially at a time when performing is so restricted.
