Expressive Movement : Tribal Trance Dance

Sat Aug 28, 15:30 - Sat Aug 28, 18:30

ABOUT

Time for some TRIBAL TRANCE DANCE, where we will use the Expressive movement form to tune into and to express the true rhythms of our souls, while calling on the spirits of the indigenous cultures around the world and honouring them for their wisdom and medicines. We will enjoy indigenous, tribal and shamanic music and live drumming and percussion during and in between the music. The facilitator gently holds the experience using verbal guidance.

This is a special event in which Rainbow Embodiment is collaborating with the super awesome Harmonics drum crew; Paul Boyter, Kojo Lion and Tore Gune are three unique African percussionists who have joined forces to share their love for indigenous African music. Their collective beats invoke the call to dance, connecting to our roots and hearts.

We will also energetically work with the root or base chakra and activate and align it through movement and dance. The root chakra is the first chakra. Its energy is based on the earth element. It’s associated with the feeling of safety and grounding and relates to home, family, roots and ancestors, it lays the foundation for expansion in your life. No prior dance experience necessary. Dress comfortably and warm, bring a blanket. A nourishing vegan meal and warm cacao will be available as ticket or cash options. Arrival from 3 pm, opening circle at 3: 30 pm, dance is from 4 to 6 pm, followed by a short intergrative sound journey and relaxing around the fire with friends and delicious food!
