Matthew Mole dropped the music video for the powerful love song, I'm With You this past July.
Never shy to wear his heart on his sleeve and process his thoughts through song, Matthew not only delivers a track that hits all the feels lyrically and musically, but showcases his voice in ways that he hasn't traditionally pushed to this degree before.
The story starts out where Matthew goes about his daily life feeling very content with his bright yellow balloon. He loses the balloon suddenly, and at the same time, he seems to lose any hope that he might have had.
In this state of hopelessness, he sets out on a journey to find his beloved balloon. He sticks up posters everywhere and tries to spread the word so that everyone he comes across is aware that he has lost his balloon. Eventually and unexpectedly, he stumbles upon his balloon in a dark, dingy alleyway somewhere. He is completely refilled with contentment because he found his new balloon!
Matthew then sees someone (Bouwer Bosch) in the same situation that he was just in: lost, hopeless and balloonless. So he gives them his balloon, which ends up refilling their hope and contentment.
"This bright, colourful balloon symbolises hope and the way our lives are affected when circumstances try to disrupt that hope," says Universal Music.
The video is directed by James Cairns, Michael Forbes and Jason-Haji Joannou. Produced by The Sight Seekers, the music video sees guest appearances by Hein Kruger and Bouwer Bosch
