Cut in Two by Justin Hagen

Justin Hagen will be showcasing his exciting production "Cut in Two" online, following it's premiere season in 2016 as part of the Cape Town Fringe Festival, followed by a season at the Artscape Arena Theatre in June 2018. 

The innovative production that will be streamed on the 1st of August 2021 has been developed under the direction of the legendary Madeegha Anders. 

The storyline reflects on the social imbalances we've become all too familiar with, follows a young interracial couple working on making sense of their relationship through the adversities they face.

Audiences previously described the show as "unique", "thought provoking", "delicate", "gripping" and a "must see".

The one man show showcases Hagen's multi talents as he not only wrote and produces the play but cleverly portrays all four characters as well. Cut in Two is a production where Hagen is able to take his audience on a journey filled with diverse culture, spirituality, romance, drama, self reflection and hope when the young couple separate and end up exposing their son to many unforeseen vulnerabilities.

Their abandoned son opens up a sub theme to the audience of homelessness, courage, self worth, search for identity and the will power to overcome set backs.
