Black Brew Culture (USA) & Brew4Change (South Africa) in partnership with Be Brave Lifestyle, and The Box Shop Lifestyle on Vilakazi Street in Soweto, present the first annual Soweto Blacktoberfest Beer Experience 2021
This unique and historic event, is a month-long observance of Black beer and food culture, that culminates into a virtual and live event. It will be held simultaneously in North Carolina, Los Angeles, and Soweto, on October 9th 2021 - for the very first time.”
The Blacktoberfest event is a celebration of our past and present cultural connection to beer, food and entertainment and the age-old concept of circular economics. Black-owned establishments across 2 continents and 3 cities, come together every weekend throughout the month of October to showcase their respective talents in this inaugural festival of craft beer and culinary excellence
The Blacktoberfest beer festival as a whole is about synergy and sustainability. It’s where we show up for each other to inspire, create, and collaborate around the business, culture, and art of craft beer. No more waiting for others to define equity and ownership, instead we build new systems to impact measurable change globally. It is a powerful vehicle for collaboration and community engagement with an openness to all people that love Black culture and great beer! If you are truly about promoting equality and empowerment, then we invite you to collaborate, support and celebrate with us this year in the month of October to celebrate Blacktoberfest in the iconic Vilakazi Street in Soweto, for the very first time.
