ABOUT

24km of mountain challenge that takes in both the 1 131m Helderberg Dome, and the 1 003m West Peak twice - and includes contouring around the Central Peaks - before descending the same route at the end of the HMC. With a total ascent of around 1 960m (and of course equal descent) this one is going to make your calves and quads burn.

Don't let the "short" distance fool you, the HMC is one of the toughest and most brutal trail runs out there. The climbing is relentless and the downhill at the end isn't much reprieve either. Do not underestimate this one, it's not graded Brown 7C for nothing!
