ABOUT

Ntombi Wonci, one of the significant daughters of Kwanokuthula and Plett, performs a poetry project she has been working on for several years. It captures the complicated journeys she has walked as a black woman with those who are near and far. The works reflect her addiction with self-mutilation and self-hatred and the continuum in-between. Ndicel’ uthathe olu hambo nam!


Opening the show is jazz vocalist Unathi, accompanied by Themba on keyboard.


Your ticket includes the 30 minute performance and an aromatic curry, rice and sambals as only the Nguni restaurant can prepare. There will be restaurant table seating, with a cash bar service at your table.
