Led and fed by chef and self sustainability teacher Tabby Robertshaw, join us on this interactive and educational workshop and discover how to unlock the hidden nutrients in heirloom corn to make tacos, tortilla & tamales through the ancient art of NIXTAMALIZATION – this process releases the essential vitamin niacin not available in non nixtamalized corn and corn products.

In this workshop we will learn how to make:

Wood ash lye

Masa harina dough

Tortilla, tacos & Nacho corn chips


This half day workshop will include morning coffee and a delicious heirloom corn inspired lunch.

Venue: Veld and Sea at the Good Hope Gardens Nursery in Cape Point.

Cost: R1200
