ABOUT
Hoop Dreams is a fundraising initiative by Akio Kawahito and Innocentia Taliwe in support of the Soweto Rising Owls Basketball Club in Soweto, South Africa.
The Rising Owls are a community club started by Zimbabwean-born coach Handsome Dhlodhlo as an initiative to create a positive outlet for youth in the Township through the game he loves, Basketball. The Club consists of four teams:
Under-13 Boys
Under-15 Boys
Under-20 Boys
Under-20 Girls
On May 28th, we'll be hosting a fundraising Braai on the BlackBrick Rooftop Bar in Sandton. Ticket price includes food, drinks, and music.
