Merlot Music Nights @ Overgaauw - Lockdown Sessions

Overgaauw Wine Estate, with a history of being wine making pioneers, was the first South African wine farm to bottle a single-varietal Merlot, as well as one of the first producers of a South African Bordeaux red blend.

Merlot Music Nights celebrate this pioneering endeavour and the act of coming together to enjoy great food, wine, music and friendships. We want to give local artists the opportunity to share their music and stories with friends and family within the warm ambience of the Overgaauw wine estate.

The 'Lockdown Sessions', hosted by David van Velden, 4th generation wine maker, and Hannes van Rensburg, 4th generation muso, will feature live original music from Han Solo, Chris van den Berg, Kans, and other local artists.

Your ticket includes an arrival drink, fine Gourmet Burger, and Live Music. Wine can be purchased at cellar prices on the night.

The event start time has moved slightly earlier, so will be a 6:30 for 7pm start - with 1st music set commencing at 7:15pm.  

We will finish before 10pm, to ensure everyone can get home in time for the earlier curfew.

Also note that Covid protocols are already in place with ample spacing between tables. If you have a specific concern or special request, please let us know.
