The show…
Purity Monologues takes a closer look into the journey of the female body through the medium of spoken word. It focuses on the individual stories and reflections of different women, expressing the complexities, struggles, trauma's and victories of their journey towards purity. In this particular series the performers reflect on their journeys and go down memory lane looking into the sacred, yet at times unnerving tales of the feminine journey.
“On her journey the female discovers the significance of loving her ‘flower’ and preserving and protecting her purity. She eventually realises that her journey to purity is one filled with grace, self-acceptance, faith and power.”
