ABOUT

Poetic Thursdays is one of Joburgs premium poetry spaces ; the platform showcases some 100 performances annually including their esteemed open mic which has seen artists go from entering the industry to being staple festival names within the country.

The poetry property is responsible for atleast 5 poetry collection/ albums being launched yearly and also partners in a host of international concerts and festivals and in the past 5 years they have produced a poetry concert every month.

During South Africa's hard lockdown the poetry formation initiated 3 formats of virtual poetry shows namely 'The online open mic", "Livestreams", and "For the culture".
