Dear WIPSA friends

If you are an NPO leader looking for a chance to engage with others in the NPO sector about how to guide your organisation through these challenging ever-changing times then do not miss the next WiPSA event. Book your ticket for an opportunity to talk to other leaders about Leadership in the New Normal.

Latest update: Laurence Esteve, the dynamic co-founder and director of Zip Zap, will also be presenting on her experience of leading her organisation over this turbulent time. She will share how she managed to use innovation and creativity to remodel their programmes and events and keep staff and their beneficiaries motivated and productive.

Introducing Laurence Esteve:

Laurence co-founded one of the first social circus schools in the world with the intention to foster social change through the medium of circus arts. She holds a B.Sc. in Physical & Sports Activities and a Masters in Sports Management. She was Knighted of the National Order of Merit by the French President. In 2017 she was the president of the jury at the Festival Mondial du Cirque de Demain in Paris, France. In 2019 she was a finalist for the African Women Innovation Entrepreneurship Forum award for her social work. Laurence also received the Paul Harris fellowship from Rotary International. Her goal is for Zip Zap to become the circus hub of South Africa as well as bringing the circus to the same level of recognition as other classical art forms such as music and dance.

More about Salma:

Salma Seedat, Director of CCG & Special Initiatives at BroadReach Healthcare, has many years of NPO leadership experience and in-depth NPO leadership knowledge, will share from her experience and expertise how NPO leaders can sustain and build themselves and their organisations over this ‘new normal’ time.

Salma’s style of delivery will be interactive, giving participants the opportunity to give practical examples and possible solutions to allow for the sharing of knowledge and ideas.

This WIPSA’s event will look at:

  • What are some of the major challenges NPO leaders currently face
  • How can they successfully adapt to these changes and be more flexible and innovative in their strategic leadership
  • How can they care for themselves in order to sustain themselves?
