ZANDILE ‘THE MARSCHALLIN’ MZAZI

Zandile Mzazi is a lyric-dramatic soprano. Born in rural Elliot in the Eastern Cape she studied at the University of Cape Town mentored by famous Angelo Gobbato.2005 a Mellon Foundation scholarship was awarded to her as one of the most promising students. Her debut was as Susanne in Mozart’s “Figaro”. Her international career guided her to Martinique, New York, Vienna (State Opera), Rome and Paris. She appeared at many prominent International events like opening of the BRICS Summit 2015/2016.She was accepted by Montserrat Caballe to one of her masterclasses and to a gala event directed by her. Next year she will be the “Marschallin” in in SITTOPERAs ™ production of Richard Strauss “Der Rosenkavalier”.
