Gender-Based Violence and rape are the scourge of our time and stories such as those of Ntombi are, sadly, commonplace in our society. Unlike her, many have not lived to tell their stories of such ordeals.

In Yoyisa-Overcome, Ntombi bares her soul on the events of that fateful November day in 2016 when she was raped during a trip to a road running race.

Ntombi's story is authored and published by multiple award winning sports journalist Matshelane 'Bra Jakes' Mamabolo.
