Sat May 8, 09:00 - Sat May 8, 11:30

Kalk Bay, Cape Town

ABOUT

Origami is for everyone. It takes a little practise and just know that your first shapes are going to look like a dog’s breakfast… don’t judge yourself. Just keep folding. The below are the options you can fold, I don’t expect you to fold all of them. Some people resonate with certain shapes and forms and prefer to focus on those.

Above all, be flexible and open to trying and enjoying yourself.

We start class with a simple flower and work our way through the classic crane, a paper lily and a geometric shape made from folded pieces that slot together. I also have the option of folding interesting shapes out of an old paperback book if you’d like to do something more abstract. The choice is up to you.

The second hour can be used to make more of these items, paint them, attach the flowers to branches or create a mobile. Additionally, depending on if you’ve gotten the hang of the cranes you can fold tiny ones and make a pair of earrings.

All paper and materials are provided as well tea and cake.

Classes are limited to 12 people

** Classes can also be tailor made and booked privately for groups of friends, childen’s birthday parties, and corporate events.
