ABOUT

Introduction to Meditation Class - Saturday 24th April 2021 with Gen Mila ( In person or Zoom )

Authentic meditation has the power to permanently transform our mind to be more peaceful and happier. However, with so much misinformation about meditation existing in the world today, it is truly difficult to know what true authentic meditation is.

Buddha taught that meditation is not simply a mental exercise to “clear our mind” of all thought, but instead, it is a method for acquainting our mind with virtue. Buddha explained that when we familiarize our mind with virtue we become more calm and peaceful and we are able to free ourselves from all our worries and mental discomfort and eventually attain a state of inner peace.

In this course, Buddhist Nun, Gen Kelsang Mila, will teach you qualified methods of how to meditate and acquaint our minds with virtue. So, whether you are new or want to deepen your understanding of meditation, this class will give you a deep and rich understanding of what true meditation practice entails.

Everyone is welcome, regardless of background, religion or experience.
