ABOUT

In the days leading to WORLD HAND HYGIENE DAY on the 5th of May 2021, we aim to spread the message & educate communities of the importance of good hand hygiene practice.

Handwashing with soap and water may seem to be a fairly simple skill but it is alarmingly lacking in compliance. The COVID-19 pandemic helped raise awareness & importance of hand hygiene but there is great need to encourage sustainable hand hygiene practices post COVID-19 pandemic.

At Clarehands, we offer quality Hand Hygiene Training and make the use of e-Health technology to facilitate learning.

In the wake of COVID-19, effective hand washing has been put on the spotlight.

We are offering online workshops/ training to educate on the principles of Good Hand Hygiene practices. The aim of these workshops is to highlight the importance of hand sanitising / washing hands efficiently to curb the spread of infectious diseases. Our workshops will cover the following:

  1.   Making the case for handwashing with soap and water (When, How & Why)
  2. Six steps/ poses of the W.H.O handwashing technique (palms, back of hands, in between fingers, back of fingers, thumbs & fingertips (7th = wrist).
  3. Use of augmented reality and Artificial Intelligence to learn & memorise the W.H.O hand washing technique in a fun and engaging way.
  4.   Hand danger points (parts often missed in hand hygiene)
  5.   Alternatives to handwashing with soap and water (alcohol-based sanitisers)
  6.   When to wash hands VERSUS When to sanitise hands
  7.   The implementation of Hand hygiene champions (workplace, or communities)
  8.   Hand hygiene compliance audits/ self-inspection (workplace environment)
  9.   Motivation for behavioural change in ensuring that Good Hand Hygiene Practice remains a mainstay beyond the COVID-19 pandemic in the workplace, homes & communities.
  10.   Global hand hygiene campaigns & resources  (upcoming World Hand Hygiene Day on 5 May 2021)
